Setup

  1. 1Open Settings > Integrations. Install xAI / Grok from Discover if it is not already listed under Installed, then enable it.
  2. 2Open the add-on settings and review the options available in this edition.
  3. 3Store and validate the API key in encrypted TypeWhisper for Windows settings
  4. 4Choose the transcription model and LLM model, then refresh the catalog when needed
  5. 5Choose or refresh a TTS voice, optionally enter a custom voice ID, and configure latency and normalization
  6. 6Select xAI / Grok as the transcription engine in general settings, a profile, or a workflow override.
  7. 7Select xAI / Grok as the LLM provider for a workflow prompt or translation.
  8. 8Select xAI / Grok as the text-to-speech provider for spoken feedback or readback.

This edition uses a cloud provider. Depending on the capability, audio, text, or both are sent only after you configure and select that provider.
